Frieda Mae Ankrum, 93 of Columbus, passed away on February 26, 2014 at Columbus West Park. Born on May 19, 1920 to the late John and Nellie (Brentlinger) Smiley in Worthington, Ohio. Frieda was the corner stone of her family and she loved her garden. Survived by children Gary Allen (Sharon) Ankrum, Judie (Ronald) Johnson and Lanny Lee (Sandra) Ankrum, several grandchildren, special nephew Marvin Courtright, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by the love of her life Allen A. Ankrum, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2pm until time of service at 4pm with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating.
Burial on Monday at 10am at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
