Gagan Dada, 54, a man of vibrant charm, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 30, 2026, in Westerville, Ohio.
Born on January 9, 1972, in Jalandhar, India, Gagan immigrated to the United States in 1979 at the age of seven. He spent his early years in Fort Lee, New Jersey, before moving to Hopatcong, where he formed lifelong friendships and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
Gagan built a career in sales that took him between New Jersey and Ohio before eventually settling in Columbus, Ohio. Known for his warmth and easygoing nature, he had a gift for making people feel seen, often turning simple conversations into lasting friendships.
He took great pride in his heritage and, last year, visited India, spending time in meaningful places and reconnecting with family. Cooking and gardening brought him joy, happiest surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories and unforgettable laughter. He was devoted to his family, his parents, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and brought comfort and humor wherever he went.
Gagan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Piara Lal and Shuhag Dada, and Hira Lal and Prem Nanda. He is survived by his parents, Baldev and Aruna Dada; his brothers, Chandan (Kavita) Dada and Bhanu (Neha) Dada; and his nephews, Akash, Ashwin, Manav, and Tej.
A service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
His warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
