Gary Richard Porter, 65, passed away Dec. 28, 2015. Owner of G.R. Porter Excavating Co. Gary was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Mary Porter.
He is survived by children, Richard (Mary) Porter, Tammy (Mark Elliott) Roby, and Brett Porter; grandchildren, McKenzie, Kaitlyn, Gary, David, Paiton, Amber, David, Tyler, Madison, Gabrielle, Hannah, Spencer, Emma, Layne, and Alice; mother of his children, Christie Smith; sister, Cheryl Kendall (Porter); furry companion, Apache.
Member of American Legion Post #532, Amvets, Moose Lodge, VFW, NAS
Visitation Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 from 2-5 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 10 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post #532, 1571 Demorest Rd., Columbus, OH 43228.
