Gary Richard Coleman, 67, of Grove City, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on September 8, 2014, for a special reunion with his Lord and with his precious grandson Brent Richard Salyers, who left us on August 18, 2010. We are sure there is a beautiful reunion happening in Heaven. Born on November 28, 1946 to the late Warner and Laura (Dupler) Coleman in Lancaster, Ohio. Also preceded in death by brother Kenneth Shull. Gary loved his family and fought cancer 3 times over the past 10 years. He worked for George J. Igel Company and Travco Construction. He also served in the USMC during the Vietnam Conflict. Survived by wife of 46 years Judy (Alford) Coleman, 3 daughters Teresa (Gene) Salyers, Angela Houston and Leesa (Garry) Jones, grandchildren Nicole (Trae) Franklin, Amanda Hicks, Ryan Hicks, Erin (David) Oldfield, Gabriella and Garrison Jones, great grandbabies Jack Hicks, Graham and Oliver Oldfield, Elliana and Jaxon Franklin. Also in-laws include Greta Shull (Bob) Hickman, Trudy (George) Konkus, Hope (Dave) Jenkins, Eddie (Carol) Alford and Rick (Brenda) Alford, many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Potter's House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Dr., Columbus, Ohio on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6 to 9pm.
Funeral service on Saturday at the church at 10:30am with Pastor Tim Oldfield officiating.
Burial to follow at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
