Gene "Geno" Antauer 68 of Dublin passed away at Kobacker House after complications of Chemo treatment for his Hodgkin's Lymphoma, surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 2, 2020. He was born on Feb 12, 1951 in Columbus.
Gene was married to Janet 24 years.
Gene, also known as Geno, was a professional musician which played for over 20 years locally in Columbus and surrounding areas. As a teenager Geno started his own Band - Bonnevilles. Geno was very active in the music industry, in addition to writing commercials and jingles that appeared on the radio and TV. Geno was a gifted musician vocalist/guitarist, that played in several bands throughout his musical career that were directed by Gene. Geno's music will live on.
Gene is survived by wife Janet Antauer, son Michael Gene Antauer of Dublin, OH, Michael Antauer's mom Judy Greenberg, brothers Ed (Theresa) Antauer of Westerville, Henry (Dodie) Antauer of Florida, sister Nancy (Jim) Young Furman of Florida, sister in law Eloise Pon of Dublin, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gene's parents Henry and Helen (Osbun) Antauer are deceased.
Gene lived a simple life, loved his family & home, the most important things in his life. The family wishes to thank Kobacker House personnel, nurses, PSA's, Doctors for taking great care of Gene and Gene's family while Gene was in Kobacker. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:30-6PM Saturday Feb. 8, 2020 with a memorial service at 6PM at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road Columbus, OH 43231.
