Gene P. Jones, 81, Columbus, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. Gene was born in Clendenin, WV on February 28, 1936, to the late Ira and Lucille (Young) Jones and is also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Dye) Jones; sons, David and Larry Jones; 9 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Jones and Dan (Tonya) Jones; grandchildren, Kayleigh and Shayla Jones; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 8, 2017, 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Jones and Dan (Tonya) Jones; grandchildren, Kayleigh and Shayla Jones; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
