George Dennis "Dennie" Glasgow, born on July 29, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a skilled welder and machinist, known for his brilliant work with the City of Columbus. Throughout his career, he contributed his talents to the Waste Water treatment facility and the Columbus trash burning power plant.
Dennie attended Eastland Vocational School, where he developed the skills that would shape his successful career. Beyond his professional life, he was a kid at heart who never lost his youthful spirit. He was a die-hard Ford man, passionate about all things related to his favorite brand.
He enjoyed racing and had a true enthusiasm for NASCAR, dirt track, and stock car racing. Dennie often spent time working on race car engines, blending his love for machinery with his hobby. He also cherished the outdoors, enjoying walking and hiking whenever he could.
Dennie is survived by his sister, Anita Glasgow; his brother, Mark Glasgow; and dear friends Jim and Lucy Fenstemaker. He was preceded in death by his father, George Henry Glasgow, and his mother, Lillian Nellie Glasgow (Calder).
George Dennis "Dennie" Glasgow will be remembered for his skill, enthusiasm for racing, and his love of nature. Those who knew him will carry fond memories of his warm spirit and dedication to his work and hobbies.
Visitation Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 9am until the time of Funeral Service at 10am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. He will be laid to rest at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
