George E. Lewber 12/31/1932 – 11/29/2025

George Elmer Lewber was married to the love of his life, Bonnie Lewber (Evans) for 60 years. They lived and raised their two children, David Lewber and Shauna Lewber Klausner in Oakwood, Ohio.

George spent his life not only as an amazing father, grandfather, son, husband, uncle, and friend, but also as a professional musician and percussion teacher. George was a professional drummer beginning at age 14 and played with scores of notable musicians, singers and bands. Of the many career highlights, playing for four sitting Presidents of the United States is foremost. George also taught drumming for dozens of years and his students have gone on to release professional recordings as well as share his love of music. George’s gift of music lives on through his talented grandchildren, Alexandra Jane Lewber, Jacob Andrew Klausner, Zachary Ray Klausner and his bonus grandson, Jacob Bryce Brewer.

George loved animals as much as people, he never met a dog or cat that he did not share food with because they “looked hungry.” Above all things, George Lewber was the consummate gentleman. He loved his family dearly and treated everyone he met with dignity and respect. We will miss him dearly.
