George Litchfield Jr.

George Litchfield Jr., 87, of Grove City, OH, passed away February 9, 2014. He was born in Columbus, OH on March 18, 1926.
George served in the U.S. Navy. He was a volunteer firefighter for Jackson Township for 27 years serving as a Lieutenant. George was a member of the Masonic Lodge #689. He was a retired electrician, member of I.B.E.W. # 683. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Syvilla Noreen, parents, George R. and Oma Litchfield, sweetheart, Alice Mathews and sister, Sue Smith. Surviving family includes, children, Linda S. (Thomas) White, George R. (Tami) Litchfield, grandchildren, Heather, George R., Andrew, brother, Robert Litchfield.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 11am, Friday, February 14, 2014 with additional visiting one hour prior.
Burial will follow in Grove City Cemetery.
