George Sites

George "Ed" Sites passed away on May 6th, 2019 at his residence. He brought joy to many during his 88 years. He was a long time resident of New Albany, Ohio and most recently lived in Johnstown. He is surivived by his wife of 69 years, Hazel; Children, Bonnie Diamond, Roseann (Dean) Gianfranceschi , Julie (Mark) Moore; 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Georgiana Sites, Sister June and Brother John. He was a United States Marine and retired from Conrail after 28 years of service. He spent his spare time with his family, woodworking, mowing grass and plowing snow.

Friends and family will be received for a memorial service with his Grandson, Tony Walker, presiding at Newcomer Funeral home, 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231 on Friday May 10th at 5:00pm. Service will begin at 7:00. Military Honors will be provided by The United States Marine Corp and AMVETS Post 89. He will be interned at a family cemetery during a private ceremony at a later date.
