Gerald Warren Gillman

Gerald Warren Gillman, 94, passed away on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at Darby Glenn Nursing Home, Hilliard, Ohio. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 25th, 1932.

Following high school, Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean-War Conflict. In his free time, Gerald was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and Mets.

Gerald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Phyllis M. (Hirsch) Gillman, and his parents, Hyman and Shirley (Levine) Gillman.

He is survived by his children, Terry (Scott) Kagan, Steven (Candy) Kagan, Dennis (Beth) Gillman; grandchildren, Max, Jill, Stephanie, Clint, Benjamin, Jeremy, Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Cole, Judah, Tate, Hallee, and Maren; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Paul) Nigro, Jeffrey Kagan, Michael Kagan; as well as cousins, Caren (Tom Romah) Griffin, Lisa (Howard) Pfeffer, Richard (Robin) Levine. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Homes - Southwest Chapel (3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123).

Burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45417) on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where military honors will be conducted by active members of the United States Air Force.
