Glenn Baker

Glenn "Bo" Baker, age 85, went home to heaven after a brief illness on Monday, May 1, 2017. He was born on June 12, 1931 at the Buckeye Lake area to the late Fred and Ethel Baker.
He played Polo for 15 years. Bo taught school for 18 years in the Columbus Public School System and was a minister of the gospel for many, many years. He graduated from Jacksontown, OH High School, attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Ohio Dominican University and earned his Master's Degree from Xavier University. Bo preached for the church of Christ in numerous congregations in Monroe, Licking and Franklin counties.
From the time he obeyed the gospel and was baptized, he walked with the Lord.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters. Bo is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Christy Baker; 1 sister, June; 16 nieces and nephews and their families.
The family will receive friends from 9-11am, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Laurel Canyon church of Christ, 409 McNaughten Rd., Columbus, OH 43213 where the funeral service will be held following at 11:00am. Minister Todd Rogers officiating.
Interment to be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge church of Christ Cemetery, Monroe County, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bo's memory may be made to the MDS-Foundation at mds-foundation.org.
