Godhavari Moola, 80, passed away peacefully on September 17 at 6:22 AM surrounded by the love and care of her family.
She was born in Tamil Nadu, India to Vidyapoornachary and Dhanalakshmi Ammal. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Subramanian Moola. She is survived by her son Kumaresh and his wife Padma, and son Satish and his wife Vishnupriya; and her 5 grandchildren Nithika, Pranav, Aashish, Deeksha, and Aadhav.
Godhavari spent much of her life in Tamil Nadu before moving to Singapore and finally to Columbus, Ohio to spend time with her sons. Her warmth knew no boundaries. She was an extraordinary person - so down to earth with a rare gift of making everyone, whether a neighbor, close family, or a distant relative feel deeply loved and cared for. Her gentle presence and unconditional affection will be truly irreplaceable. She had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing food for the people she loved.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Godhavari’s hospice team for the compassion and comfort they provided for her and her family during these last couple months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice (select “direct your gift to the Hospice Fund”) in appreciation of the care they provided.
She will be deeply missed and her spirit will remain with all those fortunate enough to have known her.
A service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio (614-964-0404) on September 21, 2026 at 2:30 PM.
