Gordon R. Slone, 77, of Athens, Ohio, passed away December 21, 2015. He was born on April 10, 1938. He was preceded in death by father, Chester Slone, mother, Cora Slone, brothers, Everett Slone and Claude Slone, great-grandson, Chad Reams, Jr., and son-in-law, Charles Saikas, Jr.

Surviving family includes, daughters, Terry (Jason) Crace, Laura Temple, Linda Saikas, sons, Allen "Randy" Slone, Timothy "Tim" Slone, Everett "Chris" Slone, life partner and mother of his children, Barbara S. Darling; grandchildren, Misty (Kyle), Jerry, Jamie (Pete), Ruby (Chaddy), Jason, Jared (Ashley), Michelle, Rebekah (Cameron), Charles, Brandon, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Chad Jr., Zachary, Jordan, Chad, Andrew, Zachary, Alyric, Cain, Lauren, Joshua, Hailee, Haylee, Karah, Olivia, Brianna, Jacob, Aydenn, Jayden, Diesel, Jaylon, Abbigail, Sophia, Haylie, Anthony, Hayden, Chloe, Leanna; and many other beloved family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the funeral home.
