Granville "Calvin" Green Jr. 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Calvin was born on February, 21, 1934 in Ironton, OH and attended Ironton Public Schools and graduated in 1952.
He married his college sweetheart, Helen Clark in 1955. They were married for 60 years and are the proud parents of 3 children. Calvin became a postal carrier in 1958 and retired after 30 years of service. He later drove a school bus for MRDD for 10 years.
He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, watching old westerns and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Granville; mother, LaVerne; sisters, Almeda, Betty Jo, and Ann; brothers, Donald and Gary. He leaves behind his wife, Helen; daughters, JoAnn, Debi (Ray); son, Chris; grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Brandon, Jordan and Jasmine; 3 great-grandchildren, Ahryhanna, Zyaire and Ariya; brothers, Steven and Kenny Green; host of nieces, nephews and friends. Calvin will be remembered for his quick wit and words of wisdom. Rest in Peace. We love you and miss you dearly.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 11-12 noon at Xenos Christian Fellowship, Office Auditorium, 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus, OH 43229 with the Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
