Greg Jarvi, born in Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a short illness at age 57. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Robert. He is survived by his mother, Eveland; three brothers, Douglas of Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey (Carolyn), of Columbus, Ohio, and David (Trudi), of Conneaut, Ohio. Greg was a 1981 graduate of Edgewood Sr. High in Ashtabula, Ohio through the Vo-Ed program. He enlisted into the U.S. Army shortly thereafter and served for a total of 8 years, in which included a deployment to Iraq during the first Gulf war. While serving in Germany, he met and later married Nancy Rosado. They raised her 5 children together in California and have 7 grandchildren. Greg enjoyed cooking for others and loved going for family hikes in the wilderness. He had an uncanny ability to understand the absurdity of any situation with complete serenity in his soul, and a laugh in his heart. He was a little kid who refused to grow up and always put others before himself to a fault. He has a beautiful soul, and the world of those who knew him has become a little bit darker in his absence. Psalms 23. A private gathering will be held in the future. Arrangements entrusted to the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL.
