Grover E. "Pete" Tipton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 16, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Born on August 4, 1947 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Grover and Fannie Tipton. Also preceded in death by brothers GW, Donald, Eugene, Clarence, Glen and Rolley Tipton, sisters Marie Holbrook, Edith Tipton and Nell Tipton-Marsee. He is survived by loving wife Priscilla Sue (Casebolt) Tipton, children Eric Stewart of PA, Jon Kerry (Amy) Stewart, Lisa Kelly (Steve) Patrick, one granddaughter Cari Grace Stewart all from Columbus, OH, brother Clyde (Judy) Tipton of Columbus, OH, sister Betty (Larry) Day of Corbin, KY. Had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5 to 8pm.
Funeral service on Wednesday at 11am with Pastors Howard Cameron, III and Pastor Gary Shafani officiating.
Burial will be held at Grove City Cemetery.
