Gwen Blankenship

Gwen Elaine (Madden) Blankenship, 49, joins many other family members and close friends in heaven to reunite with the Lord. While here on Earth she battled courageously for many years with a blood disease called T.T.P. Our mother volunteered in many trials at Ohio State University medical center in hopes that no one would ever have to suffer with this disease.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Carl L. Madden and Jean D. (Trout) Madden. Also by her brother and best friend, Robert "Bobby" Madden. Her heart and soul was her two surviving sons, Darrick Robert and Zachary Ryan (Kayla) Blankenship. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren, Kinzee Nevae (NanNa) Blankenship and Brayden Blankenship.

She is also survived by her ex-husband and close friend, Earsel D. Blankenship Jr. Sisters, Joyce (Richard) Schobelock and Carla Thompson. Nephews, Timothy (Kaye) Peters and Todd (Heidi) Peters and many great-nephews, cousins and other family. Two other sons, by another mother, Erick Foster and Kyron Gonzalez and their families.

Friends may call from 5-7pm, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a funeral service will begin at 7pm. Stories and laughter are welcome.
