Harold “Bo” L. Bocook, Jr., (82) of Grove City, Ohio, was born on October 8, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, and passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Tracy; his parents, Harold Sr. and Berniece; and his sisters, lovingly remembered as Sis and Ruthie. Bo is survived by the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Mary (his pretty little red head); his daughter Rhonda (Ryan); his son Tommy, adored daughter in law, Dawn, his loving daughter in law Tari, brother Charlie (Sonya), sisters Penny and Mickey. Many nieces and nephews, and friends.
He was the proud Grandpa of Ryan, Kacy, Austin, Autumn, Mimi Grayce (Ronny), Connor, Lillie, and Colton. A cherished Great-Grandpa of Rylee, Kendel, Bailey, Presslee, Emma, Melani, Oakley, Hayden and Parker. Each of them was a piece of his heart, and he loved them with a depth only he could give. All of them will sadly miss his golf cart rides and plenty of other back yard activities!
Bo was deeply devoted to everyone blessed enough to know him. No matter the title he carried—husband, dad, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa, or friend—he loved each one to the fullest. To his family, he wasn’t just good at those roles… he was the best. His greatest lifelong passion was fishing. A fishing pole in his hand brought him peace, joy, and a sense of home. He loved fishing with his grandkids, great grandkids, brother Charlie and best friend Jim Ott.
Bo spent more than 65 years in the construction industry, where his craftsmanship, work ethic, and integrity left a lasting mark on every project and every person he worked alongside. He passed along this legacy by operating his own family-owned construction company.
Harold “Bo” Bocook, Jr. lived a life built on love, generosity, hard work, and quiet strength. His legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew him, and in the family, he cherished beyond measure.
