Harold J. Elkins, 92, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Harold was born on December 29, 1925 in Charleston, WV to the late Thomas and Eva (Davis) Elkins.
Harold is preceded in death by his first wife, Esther (Carter) Elkins; second wife, Esther (King) Elkins; son, Marion (Sonny) Elkins and his parents.
He is survived by his children, Harold (Emily) Elkins, Doris (Steve) Shump, Betty (Milt) Watts, Jim Elkins, Judy Adkins and Mary (Rick) Liebhart; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Harold was Army veteran having served in WW II. He spent his latter years enjoying his family.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 4 to 8pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11am also at Newcomer NE Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Kirkersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in Harold's honor.
