Harry Eugene Burris

Harry Eugene Burris, age 89, passed away on December 3, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Homer and Goldie (Stump) Burris. 

Harry is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Homer (Donna); Robert (Carol), and Edith (Bob) Beckham; daughter, Kathy L. Ruth; as well as his grandson, Jeffery Jr; brother in law, Rodney Rock. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna L. (Voris) Burris; children, Jayne M. (Craig) Greer, Kevin (Marybeth) Strahan, Lisa (Ted) Koba, Vicki (Donald III) Brown, Michelle (Mike) Gourley, Terry Darfus, and Tonya (Jeff) McCullouch; sister, Patty (Rodney) Rock ; 19 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. 

Harry retired from the trucking industry after over 40 years. 20 years as a trucking sales broker and 20 years as an ops manager. He worked until he was 85 years old. He was also an avid bowler and golfer. He bowled and golfed in leagues for over 20 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Harry also worked at the Shoe with his uncle when he was in high school.
