Listen to Obituary

Harry F. Mullins, born August 9, 1939, in Haysi, Virginia, passed away on October 18, 2026, at Grove City Senior Living. He lived a full and deeply personal life shaped by hard work, craftsmanship, friendship, faith, and devotion to the people he loved most.

Harry was a longtime business owner of Mullins Body Shop in Galloway, Ohio, where his skill, determination, and pride in his work became well known. He was an avid car collector and enthusiast who loved building custom hot rods and Porsches. His talent for customization brought many of his projects special recognition over the years, with his work featured in numerous magazines. Among the creations that reflected both his vision and his hands-on ability was a custom-built 1950 Mercury that ultimately found its way to Europe.

Cars were not only a hobby for Harry, but a lifelong passion that connected him with others and carried him and his wife, Sharon, on many memorable adventures. He was a longtime member and past president of the Porsche Club of America Mid-Ohio Region, and together Harry and Sharon traveled all over the country to Porsche events. Those who knew him understood how much joy he found in the details of a project, the pride of a finished build, and the camaraderie that came from sharing those passions with fellow enthusiasts.

Harry also embraced life’s pleasures beyond the garage. At one time he was an avid golfer, and after reaching two personal milestones—shooting par for nine holes and making a hole-in-one—he stepped away from the game with satisfaction. He enjoyed summers on his boat, Mullin It Over, on Lake Erie, where time on the water brought laughter, relaxation, and good company. At The Fox Haven Marina, he was known for picking up “deconstructed” bologna sandwiches from G&R Grill for his lake buddies, a small tradition that became part of many fond memories. He also enjoyed snow-birding to Brook To Bay in Englewood, Florida, where he formed many lifelong friendships.

Through every chapter of his life, Harry remained most devoted to his family. Above all else, he loved spending time with his wife of 65 years, Sharon, and with those closest to him. He was also a longtime and faithful member of Galloway Presbyterian Church, a steady part of his life and community.

Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Mullins; his sons, Jeff (Melanie) Mullins and Ronnie (Valerie) Mullins; and his grandsons, Jared Mullins and Ryan Mullins. He is also survived by his brothers, Mike (Linda) Mullins, Rick (Pam) Mullins, and Bill (Susan) Mullins, and by his sister, Barbara Mumpower; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. They will remember him as a man of strong interests, steady commitment, and a generous spirit, whose presence brought character and warmth to family life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Mullins; his mother, Marie Mullins; his sisters, Erma Davis, Anne Jordan, Janice Willis, Carole Timberlake, and Sharon Storck; and his brothers, Joe Mullins, Kenneth Mullins, Bob Mullins, Wayne Mullins, and Mark Mullins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Thom Shuman officiating.

The family would also like to extend a grateful and heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care and services of the staff at Grove City Senior Living and Luminary Hospice during their times of need.

Harry’s life was marked by craftsmanship, loyalty, adventure, and love. Whether he was in the shop, at a car event, on the lake, in Florida, at church, or simply with Sharon and family, he brought enthusiasm and heart to the moments that mattered. He leaves behind treasured memories and a legacy that will continue to be carried by all who knew and loved him.
