Hattie Charles, age 80, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14, 1938 in Beauty, KY.
Hattie was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors. Her family meant everything to her. Hattie never knew a stranger and anybody that met her, loved her. She and Ralph were partners in both life and business.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving family includes husband, Ralph Charles Sr.; daughter, Rosemarie (Tony) Shepherd; son, Ralph (Jerrie) Charles Jr.; grandchildren, Summer (Michael) Werchowski, Kyle Charles, Kara (Patrick) Schultz and Noelle Charles; 9 beloved great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Pauley; brother, Johnny Thern; step-sister, Brenda Higginbotham.
Preceded in death by parents, Bud Carter and Nona Thern; daughter, Sandra K. Charles.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway, where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Hattie's name to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
