Heather Dawn Bloomfield

Heather Dawn Bloomfield "Pooh" , 51, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home on October 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 16, 1974, in Columbus, and will be remembered with deep love by those who knew her.

Heather found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quiet moments with a good book. She loved riding her Tennessee Walkers and took part in showing at the Quarter Horse Congress across multiple eastern and midwestern states. She also enjoyed watching true-crime documentaries and the series "Supernatural." Heather dearly loved her corgi, Bayleigh, and, most of all, treasured the time she spent with family and friends. She also loved traveling to spend time with the people she held close.

Above all, Heather’s life was centered on the people she loved. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Melanie) Bloomfield and Ash Bloomfield; her parents, Carl Bloomfield and Janice (Kurkowski) Bloomfield; her brother, Shawn Bloomfield; her uncle, Danny (Nancy) Kurkowski; her close friend, Chad Foltz; and her grandson, Henry Bloomfield. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of her love, her companionship, and the special ways she brought warmth to their lives.

Heather was preceded in death by her aunt, Barb Watts, whose memory remained part of her family’s story.

A memorial gathering will be held on November 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast, 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43231 (614-818-1189).

Heather will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the happiness she found in time with those closest to her, and the many moments of comfort and joy she shared with others. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends always.
