Helen Adkins

Helen Marie Adkins, 81, passed away August 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Anna Bowman; siblings, Thelma Parker, Janet Easterling, Eleanor Fisher, Charles Edward Bowman and Robert Bowman.

Helen is survived by husband of 63 years, Ray Sr.; children, Sandra Hood and Ray (Nettie) Adkins Jr.; grandchildren, Teresa (Derek) Wilson, Ray (Sharon) Adkins III, Michael Adkins, Angela (Michael) Capo and Robert Hood; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilson and Logan Adkins; sister, Betty (Joe) Holdren; many nieces, nephews other family and friends.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who gave her family many wonderful holiday memories and traditions. She also enjoyed traveling to Disney World and Hawaii. Her grandchildren will always cherish summertime trips to amusement parks and her deliciously decorated cakes. She will be greatly missed by her adoring family.

Visitation Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 9 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
