Helen Louise Cappel

Helen L. Cappel, 100, of Gahanna passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at New Albany Care Center.
She was born February 7, 1917 in Columbus, daughter of the late Charles and Estella (Huiss) Kessinger.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Tylene (John) Billingsley and Jean (Bob) Updegraff; grandchildren, Bob Mikle, Connie (Chad) Mossbarger, Kellie Bass and Lori (Keith) Green; great grandchildren, Michael, Carson, Bella, Elias, Giovanni and one on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward; and sisters, Freda Ward and Francis Doelker.
Helen was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a faithful member of the Amvets.
Visitation will be Thursday June 29, 2017 from 10:30-12:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd, Ste 210 Columbus, OH 43229.
