Helen E. Alexander, 95, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Columbus, OH. Helen was born on February 8, 1920 in Massillon, OH to Frederick and Caroline Koehnlein.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband of sixty years, George Alexander; sisters, Marie and Rose; and brother Albert.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Marilyn) Alexander and Gary (Pat) Alexander; grandson, Bryan (Nancy) S. Alexander, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Cade.
Helen was a graduate of Massillon High School and Mount Union College and a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She taught elementary school for Beavercreek City Schools and various other school districts. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Helen will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH with her husband George. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grant Hospice Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43215 (memo - Helen Alexander).
