Herb G. Ettelt

Herb G. Ettelt 83 of Columbus passed Dec. 22, 2019. He was born on Oct. 29, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to Hubert and Hedwig (Romanski) Ettelt who preceded him in death. He is survived by 4 children Jeannie (George) Sabol, Chris Ettelt, Mark Ettelt, Cindy (Rickey) King, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Sister Helen Staubner, and brother Harold Ettelt.
Herb enjoyed the Young at Heart group at the Church of the Resurrection in New Albany and was an avid archer who participated in competitions. He loved the outdoors, writing poetry, and short stories. Herb was a mechanical engineer.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 3pm on Sunday Dec. 29 at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral mass will be held at 11am Monday Dec. 30, 2019 at the Church of the Resurrection 6300 E Dublin Granville Rd, New Albany, OH 43054.
