Herbert Hoover Holland Sr., 84 , passed away March 3, 2014. He was born on May 14, 1929 to Joseph A. and Bertha Hedge Holland in rural Lawrence County, Proctorville, OH area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Herbert H. (Debbie) Holland Jr. of North Carolina and Joseph A. "Tony" (Tami) Holland of Powell, OH. He is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, brother, Bill Holland of London, OH as well as many nephews, nieces including 2 special nieces and 3 special nephews. Herbert is also survived by Dean Wheatcraft, his partner of 45 years. Herbert was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict receiving 2 bronze star awards.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
