Hezekiah M. Lawhorn, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Gahanna, OH. Hezekiah was born on December 27, 1935 in Roanoke, VA to the late Richard and Mary (Pope) Lawhorn .
Hezekiah is preceded in death by his son, Alonzo Lawhorn; daughters, Janet Lawhorn and Vicki Pierce; sisters, Lyna and Waleen Lawhorn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Edith (Ward) Lawhorn; daughters, Cheryl (Duane) Lumpkin, Salema Almore, Miriam (Jackie) Deen, Edith (Ronald) Johnson, Candi Lawhorn; sons, Scean (Diane) Lawhorn, Derrick (Cynthia) Ward, Anthony (Diane) Ward, Mohammed (Pam) Deen; brothers, Matthew and Julius Lawhorn; granddaugher, Shaylon Lawhorn and a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 10 to 11am at Philadelphia Deliverance Church of Christ, 250 S. Napoleon Ave., Columbus, OH 43213 where the funeral service will immediately follow at 11am. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hezekiah's honor to the Activities Fund, c/o The Worthington, 1201 Riva Ridge Ct., Gahanna, OH 43230.
