Howard Marcum

Howard Marcum, 77, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025. He was born on July 18, 1947, in Marlington, West Virginia to the late Arnold and Oleta Marcum.

Howard lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, NASCAR, time outdoors, and Bigfoot. He was a man of faith who enjoyed going to church and spending time with family and friends.

He survives by his loving wife, Darlene; daughters Dorthy Marcum of Pikeville, KY, and Jeannie (Jerry) Strain of Colton, OH; son TJ (Melissa) Marcum of Columbus, OH; and stepdaughters Tricia Craycraft of Indianapolis, IN, and Dena Justus of Canal Winchester, OH. He was a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Howard is also survived by his brothers Jack (Jan) Marcum of Orient, OH, and Ronnie (Debbie) Marcum of Darbydale, OH; and brother-in-law Larry Mullett of Orient, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Oleta Marcum; his sister, Judy Mullett; grandson, Jimmy Marcum; Granddaughter, Jessica Strain, nephews, Michael Mullett and JR Marcum; and niece, Crystal Garbline.

Howard’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Though he has left this world, his spirit, love, and faith will continue to guide us for generations to come.

Visitation Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4-7pm at Connection Pointe Church of God, 4325 Harrisburg Pike, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral Service Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 11am at the church. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
