Ina "Kay" Morris McGrath, 53, of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully at home with her family on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Kay was born in Beckley, WV to the late Bobbie (Williams) and Howard M. Morris and is preceded in death by siblings, Ann Remali and Brad Lowe; mother and father-in-law, Dennis B. and Patricia McGrath. Her father died in an accident when she was a few years old and she was blessed to get another Dad, Roy Lowe Jr. He has been her rock for many years and they shared a special bond.
On December 15, 1979, Kay married her best friend, John J. McGrath. They had two amazing children, Amanda and John McGrath who would do anything for family and each other just like their mother taught them. These two children went on to bless her with six beautiful grandchildren; Kayana, Keeley, Morgan, John, Johzlyn and Jenna. She loved these grandchildren with every ounce of her body and soul. There wasn't anything that she wouldn't do for her grandkids. Kay had a special bond with Meghan Skeldon who was like another daughter. Meghan was a care giver to Kay in her final journey and Kay was blessed to have her by her side.
Kay was a graduate of Briggs High School.
Additional survivors include her siblings; Tammy (Dave) Flowers, Sam (Janet) Morris, Murphy Morris, Debbie Voiles, Patty Drumm; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary (Ric) Montenaro, Kay (Tom) Dinneen, Patty (Jim) Estep, Helen (Bill) Shinn, Denny (Mary) McGrath; special family friends, Tammy Seevers and James Burris; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, May 6, 2016, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home. SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, 10 AM at St Agnes Catholic Church, 2364 West Mound Street, Columbus, OH 43204. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH
