Irene Cassey

Irene C. Cassey, 87, of Carthage, NC, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC. She was born on April 2, 1926 to the late Lewis Francis and Ella Louise Gloeckner in Athens, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harry P. Cassey, sons, Harry Richard Cassey and Harry P. Cassey III, sister, Freda Shields, brothers, George Gloeckner, Bill Gloeckner, and Eddie Gloeckner. Irene retired from General Motors of Columbus,Ohio and a long time member of the Evangelical Lutheran Churches.
Irene is survived by her daughters, Lynda (Milt) Berry, Deborah (Tony) Badurina and Leslye Neff, grandchildren, Mark (Jill) Long, Doug (Nikki) Long, Shawn Beach, Stacey (Jeff) Ayers, Frank and Jason Haimerl, several great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson, sisters Rosie (Ben)Warner and Jean Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 10-11am, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Graveside services will follow in Grove City Cemetery.
