Irvin McKenzie, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 11, 2026. Irvin was born on Augusut 17, 1933 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late William and Phoebe Bowan.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Marie Conley, Carl McKenzie, Eugene McKenzie, and Edith Travis.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty McKenzie, cousin, Arlie Castle Jr, Dave (Tilcia) Sullivan, Ed (Michelle) Swindall, Keith (Kim) Fleming, Terrance (Charlotte) Hamler, grandchildren, Melissa, Adrian Sullivan, best friend and grass-cutting buddy, Arlin Bailey, close friends, Larry Leftwich, Jay (Darris) Irvin, Ron (Maureen) Mickens, and all the friends from Woodland Terrace, Central, and East Linden Congregations.
Irvin loved baking, gardening, and being an all-around tinkler and fix-it man.
He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
