Jack will be missed by his many nieces and nephews he called "His Children", and loved ones and the many friends his uplifting personality attracted.
Jack Gilman was a charming, very intelligent and good looking man who enjoyed looking good. He had a contagious smile and a way of telling a story that left you giggling inside. As a young adult, he took his shot at making it as a singer in NYC. Jack served in the USAF. Later he settled in Columbus and if you went to the Kahiki, you might have heard him crooning a Sinatra or Bennett song. He retired from GM.
Jack loved the Buckeyes and attended many football and bowl games. He liked traveling and cruising. Jack was gifted at getting to know people. If you met him, he would want to know about you. Then he would say encouraging words in such a way, you would know things, great things, were possible. He said he received this gift of lifting people up from his wonderful mother who also taught him to love Jesus and he knew Jesus as his Savior. His love, caring, hugs, kisses, smile, laugh, eyes, council, advise and even his occasional scolding's will be missed by all he touched.
