Jack Henson, Sr., 75, of Columbus passed away at Riverside Methodist on December 1, 2025. He was born in Pataskala, Ohio to the late Benjamin Franklin and Sylver Mae (Halleck) Henson.
Those left to cherish memories of Jack include his children, Jackie Lee Jr. (Maureen) Henson; Karen (Greg) Schumacher and Christina (Kyle) Chapman; Grandchildren, Ryan (Emerald) Schumacher; Brandon (Sarah) Schumacher; Matt (Ashley) Coleman; Mason (Shelbea) Schumacher; Drew Schumacher; Robby Speaks and Victoria Clark; numerous great grandchildren; Siblings, Rita (Denny) Hanrahan; Les Geiger and Frances Henson. Special extended family Susan Cavender and Kenneth Williams; Best friend Paul Bishop; Clark, Speaks and Cavender families along with many other family and friends. Many nieces and nephews are all special and loved by Uncle Jack!
Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by the love of his life Edie Clark; siblings: Darlene (Kenny) Sowers; Pete Cloud; Herman Henson; Carol Jean Henson; Sue (Gary) Bolyard; Denise Geiger; John Henson; Diane Henson and niece Sis Carpenter.
Jack was a Forklift Operator for 35 years. Outside of work, He loved to hang out with family playing cards, horse racing and singing karaoke. He has always been the life of the party. Jack also enjoyed hanging out on his porch enjoying the weather. Always helping those in need. Jack is deeply loved and dearly missed by many.
Immediate family will greet friends and family from 1pm to 3pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Northeast, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus 43231.
A service to honor Jack’s life will be held at 3pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Newcomer Northeast Chapel. Reception following services at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2252, 3800 Westerville Road, Columbus, OH 43224.
In lieu of flowers please donate to one of Jack’s favorite charities; Wounded Warrior, St. Judes or ASPCA.
