Jack W Purdy

Jack W. Purdy, 66, of Columbus, passed away at home on June 30, 2026. He was born in Columbus on December 8, 1959, to the late Jack M. and Martha (Fast) Purdy. He married Cynthia “Cindy” A. Hanna in of 1979, and she survives.

Along with his loving wife of 47 years, Jack is survived by sons, Joseph Purdy and James (Brandi) Purdy; grandkids, Jayson, Tyler, Lillian, Hanna, Harley, and Lilah; sisters-in-law, Mary Hanna and Susan Ridolfo; nieces and cousins; and dear buddy, Bear.

Jack retired from Coca-Cola where he worked in the Scheduling office. Before Coke he worked for Timkens in production. Jack was truly happiest when he was with his boys and grandkids. His favorite time spent with his family were days spent on Lake Erie.

Immediate family will greet friends and family from 5pm to 7pm; Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Southwest, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123. A service to honor Jack’s life will be held at 10am, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Newcomer Grove City. Procession to follow for 12noon burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
