Jack R. McCafferty, 72, Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Jack was born in OK on November 23, 1940, to Ernest L. and Ada (Hankins) McCafferty, and is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Martha McCafferty; sisters, Helen McCafferty and Louise Miller; brothers, Delbert McCafferty, Joe Montgomery and Truman Montgomery.
Survivors include his daughters, Kim (Bill) Hagelstein and Jackie (Matt) Egginger; son, Alan (Reatha) McCafferty; sister, Thelma Smoot; brother, Junior McCafferty; grandchildren, Johnathan, Niccole, Alex, Amanda, Ayden and one to arrive in August; great-granddaughter, Alice; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Jack is a Veteran of the US Army.
The McCafferty Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 4-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to OhioHealth Foundation, Kobacker House, PO Box 600001, Columbus, OH 43272.
