Jackie E. Hinton

Jackie E. Hinton, born on March 10, 1934, departed this life on February 21, 2026. Jackie was a dedicated autobody mechanic who spent his career first at Commercial Lovelace in Columbus and later transferred to Fitzpatrick in Groveport. He found joy in working with his hands and took great pride in his craft.

Jackie had a deep love for restoring old cars, especially Mustangs. He also enjoyed building streetrods and riding his motorcycle. These hobbies brought him happiness and fulfillment throughout his life. He loved to have his grandkids for sleepovers and spend time with family.

He was a devoted family man who adored his grandkids. Jackie’s family included his beloved wife of 70 years, Diana Hinton; his children, Randall (Karen) Hinton and Dreama Hinton; and his grandchildren: Mindi (Brian), Natalie (Eric), Laurie (Marion), Jacki (Donovan), Charity, Autumn (Delvin), Candi (Eric), Desiree (Brad), and Chanelle (Ryan). He also cherished his great-grandchildren, which include Reagan (Chris), Kyle (Devin), Katie, Andrew, Trey, Kaylyn, Samantha, Cooper, Jacob, Landon, Kylee, Blaine, Larissa, Clayton, Jade, Ella, Bryce, Madalyn, Gwyndalyn, Tyler (Kaitlyn), Madison (Noah), J.R., Kloe, Oliver, Paxton, and Damien. Furthermore, Jackie was proud of his great-great-grandchildren, Greyson, Raelynn, Aliya, and Oztyn.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Elva Hinton, his sister, Jean Stickle, and his great-grandchild, Miller Guthrie.

A visitation will be held on March 7, 2026, at the Pickerington Church of Christ located at 9645 Stoudertown Rd NW in Pickerington, OH, starting at 10:30 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM at the same location. Jackie will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family, and passion for his hobbies.
