James B. Lowe

James B. Lowe, 82, of Columbus, OH, surrounded by his loving family, passed away July 18, 2013. He was born in Portsmouth, OH on May 25, 1931 to Jay Smith Lowe and Cora M. Pollitt, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death are, wife, Ida (Anne), daughters, Bonnie E. Knight, Geneva D. Roberts, brothers, Jay Lowe Jr., Wayne Lowe and Bruce Lowe.

Surviving family includes, children, Daniel J. (Sherri) Lowe, Sylvia (Jim) Zornes, William M. (Peggy) Stepp, grandchildren, Anna Sheeter, Jimmy (Lindsey) Zornes, Zach Zornes, Amy (Ryan)Nowak, great-grandchildren, Blake, Ava, Leah and Alex, siblings, Mary Stull and Howard P. Lowe. James was a lifetime employee of General Motors retiring in 1986. He also served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War campaign. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, camping, reading and his favorite dog Kazbeh.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am, following the visitation. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
