James "Cody" Dowell, 76, of Grove City, passed away at Mt. Carmel West Hospital on January 1, 2014. Born on June 26, 1937 to the late Ernest and Aretta (Lyons) Dowell in South Side, WV. Survived by wife of 39 years Wendy (Weber) Dowell, children Sandra (Dickie) Gloyd and William C. (Denise) Dowell, grandchildren Autumn (Jeremy) Allison, Colton Gloyd, Amber McFann and Mason Dowell, great grandchildren, Makenna Hamilton, Zoe Allison and Hyler Allison, sister Donna (Bobby) Greer, numerous nieces and nephews, loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous special friends and neighbors.

Private arrangements will be held by Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, Grove City.
