James Franklin O'Neil Jr., 64, of Orient, OH, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 16, 2016. James (Jim) was born on October 30, 1951 in Columbus, OH.
He was a graduate of Central High School and Bowling Green State University. After college he began employment at COTA where he has since been employed for the past 43 years. Jim was a God loving man who was saved in 1975 at the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was a member of Grace Ministries Church (CCCU) and has attended McConnelsville Church of the Nazarene, Canaan Freewill Baptist Church and Saving Grace Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Renea O'Neil, father, the late James Franklin O'Neil Sr. and grandparents, Oliver and Grace Kelly of Columbus, OH.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Thibble O'Neil of Orient, OH, daughter, Tanya (Adam) Elseser, grandchildren, Jordan and Cole Elseser, loving mother, Eleanor Kelly O'Neil of Grove City, OH, sisters, Brenda O'Neil Rupe-Dalzell, Tamara O'Neil Williams, Lori Rupe, Kimberly Sayre-Baird, uncle, Richard (Shirley) Kelly and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 12pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
