James B. Gwen Sr, age 100, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on June 22, 2025. Jimmy was born on August 26, 1924 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Benny and Willia Gwen.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sons, James A. Gwen, James B. Gwen Jr, and Carlos D. Gwen.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Thelma (William) Berger, Tondilayo Hardnet, Gerald Gwen, special daughter-in-law, Lutrecia Johnson, grandchildren, Mike, Roy, a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, and many extended family and friends.
Jimmy was a family man. He was an extremely hard worker and proud Army Veteran. He was always direct, and straight to the point with people.
He will be deeply missed.
