James "Jim" Corbett

James "Jim" Corbett of Columbus, Ohio, age 79, passed away on December 21, 2025 following a long illness. Jim was born in Delaware, Ohio on November 30, 1946 to the late Rodney and Opal Corbett. He retried from American Electric Power after 38 years of service and he served in the U.S. Air Force. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Jerry, Daryl, Mike and Denny and a sister-in-law. Jim is lovingly survived his spouse of 25 years Lora Corbett, daughter Christy (Joe), son David (Jill), six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, and many close family members. Jim enjoyed hunting, country dancing and restoring old cars. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Per Jim's wishes a dignified cremation was performed by Newcomer Funeral Home. A celebration of life will he held at a later date and time.
