James "Jim" Lawson, 61, of Johnstown, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Ann's.
He was born December 19, 1954, in Columbus, son of the late Elmer and Wanda Dillon Lawson.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister Mac Patteson.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Hackworth Lawson; son, Bobby James Jr.; daughters, Tabitha (Bobby) Brown, Sabrina (Chuck) Collins and Heather James; brothers, John (Karen) Lawson and Jack Lawson; sister, Rita Patridge; grandchildren, Emmanuel and Nathan Wood, Cody Baker, Brittany Kirk, Daniel James, Maya Raider; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 7 p.m.
Jim was a loving husband, father and gramps who will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
