James M. McGranahan, 60, Columbus, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Ashland, KY on August 8, 1953, to James and Grace (Lawson) McGranahan and is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; wife, Veronica (Higginbotham) McGranahan; daughter, Tabitha (Steve) Castro; son, James McGranahan, Jr; sisters, Debbie (Larry) Cossin; Marilyn (Walt) Miller; Jacqueline McGranahan; Shelly (Ricky) Byers; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
James served in the US Army and worked for Abbott Labs for over 30 years.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
