James Edgar Moore

James Edgar Moore, age 88, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, September 11, 2026. James was born January 1st, 1938 and grew up in his beloved McConnelsville, OH where he developed his love of the outdoors. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished the many family dogs that were a part of his life.

Preceded in death by his parents Everett Moore and Geneva Barber; his sister Betty Biggs and his wife of 45 years, Sandra Moore.

He is survived by his sisters, Dolores Hall and Sue Lowe; his children, Michael Moore, Buddy Moore and Pamela Miller (Robert) and his grandchildren, Shannon Knisley and Ashley Knisley.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to your local Humane Society.

The immediate family will be having a private memorial to honor James' life.
