James W. Patterson

James W. Patterson was born on August 20, 1935, in Bellefontaine, OH in Mary Rutan Hospital to H.R. (Robert) and Faith (Offenbacher) Patterson.
A member of Jersey Baptist Church, New Albany, OH., James loved his Lord and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
He went home to be with his Lord on January 25, 2017.
He was an Amateur Radio Operator and was active in various aspects of that hobby. He was a Past President of the Ohio State Marching Band Alumni Club and was active in the OSU Alumni Band. He retired from Michigan Millers Mutual Ins. Company as a Regional Claims Coordinator in 1997 and from the Ohio Air National Guard in 1985.
He was active in prison ministry and bible studies at the Licking County Justice Center in Newark, Ohio.
He leaves behind his wife, Ruth; son, Sean; sister, Peggy; grandson, Alexander; daughter-in-law, Kim.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to, Bill Glass Behind the Walls, 1101 South Cedar Ridge Drive, Duncanville, TX 75137.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, January 31, 1-1:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. Pastor John Hays will officiate.
Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, OH 43081.
