James R. Daniels

James "Jim" Randall Daniels, 65, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 at Ohio Health Doctor's West Hospital.

Jim was a proud life-long Westside resident and attended Georgian Heights Elementary, Wedgewood Jr. High, and West High School.

Jim loved dirt biking, motor-cross racing, and music of all types; whether listening to it or playing guitar in many local bands. He enjoyed old movies and TV shows, and was an avid car enthusiast; highlighted by his career in the auto parts industry, working for O'Reilly, NAPA, and Auto Zone before eventually retiring.

Jim is survived by his loving mother, Emma Grace (Loughry) Daniels; two feline fur babies, Tiny and Ariel; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends. He will be dearly missed by special family caregivers, Barbara and Charlotte.

Recent years brought about many health issues for Jim, and while his physical heart could no longer take the strains of daily life, his generosity, compassion, kindness and friendship and laughter will live on throughout all the lives he touched; "To Live In Hearts We Leave Behind Is Not To Die"

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Arville Daniels, and older brothers, Alvy and Tom Daniels.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, April 20th, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Homes - Southwest Chapel (3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123). Funeral services will immediately follow at Noon on the funeral home, and burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery (6959 W Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio) at 1:30 PM.
