James Rodgers, 75, of Grove City, Ohio passed away at home after a long illness on Saturday May 21, 2016. He was born September14, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents: Amadee & Mattie Rodgers; brothers: Raymond, Ben, George and Danny; sisters: Florence, Faye, Wanda, Nancy and Merry.
James is survived by his wife Maxine of 56 years; daughters: Robin, Kim and Crystal; grandchildren: Johnny, Kyra, Jeffrey, David, Kyler, Matthew, Mychael, Marcus and Mandy, brother: Gerald and sister: Sally of California and many other loving family and friends who will miss him deeply.
He retired from the City of Columbus in 2004.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW chapel , 3393 Broadway, Grove City 43123 on Wednesday, May 25 from 4-8. The funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
